apples took by vijay : 1/3(x-1/3x) = 1/3(3x-x/3)= 1/3×2x/3= 2x/9

remaining apples: 8

x-x/3-2x/9-7x/27=8

27x-9x-3x-7x/27=8

27x-19x/27=8

8x/27=8

8x= 8×27

x=8×27/8

x=27

so, amit took : 1/3×27=9 apples

vijay took : 1/3(27-9)= 1/3+18 = 6apples
