Let no. of benches be x, and
Let no. of students be y,

Total no.of students = 3x+3, but also the total no. of students are 4(x-3)

=> 3x+3 = 4x - 12
=> x = 15, Therefore the no. of benches = 15,

And no. of students = 3*15 = 45,

Hope you understand, Have a great day !

If we take the common multiples of 3&4 then

12,24,36,48........

If there are 48 students in the class and 15 benches so

If 3 students seat in one bench then 3 students will be remaining
As 48÷3=16
And there are 15 benches
So 3*15=45
48-45=3

If 4 students sit in one bench 3 bench will be remaining
As 48÷4=12
15-12=3
