If 4 students Sit on each bench

4x-3....(I)

If 3 students sit on each bench

3x+5........ (2)

4x-3=3x+5

4x-3x=8

x = 8, this maybe given to (1) OR (2)

4x-3=29

3x+5=29

Hence the number of students in the classroom is 29
