Answer:

Let there be x men in the room.

When 6 men sit on each room, number of chairs =(x/6 +4)

When 4 men sit on each chair, number of chairs= (x-4)/4

(x/6 +4)= (x-4)/4

By solving, x = 60.

Hence there are 60 men in the room

Let  us consider the number of occupied chairs = x,

So total number of men=6x   ( given)

∴Total number of chairs= (x + 4)

In the second part of question total number of men :-

=4(x+4)+ 4

= 4x+16+4=6x

= 6x - 4x = 20

= 2x = 20

x = \frac{20}{2}

x=10

Hence total number of men=6x = 6 × 10 =60

Ans :-  There will be 60 men are there in room.
