There are some honey bees and flowers Ina garden.If two honeybees sit on each flower,one honeybee was left out and if three honeybees sit on each flower no flower is left

let the number of honeybees be x
and the number of flowers be y
ATQ
2y +1 = x --------(1)
again ATQ
x= 3y
=> 2y + 1 = 3y ( using (1))
=> 3y - 2y = 1
=>y = 1
now x= 2(1) + 1
= 2+1
=3
therefore number of honeybees = 3.
and number of flowers = 1.
