In a particular selection of fruits, there is either no orange or one orange or two orange or three or four No. of ways for oranges =1+4=5

Same as above, number of ways for apples and mangoes are 6=(1+5) and 7(1+6) respectively.

Total Number of Selecting fruits =5×6×7−1 (No fruit selected )

Total Number of Selecting fruits =209

Solution:

Let the number of oranges in first box be x. So, number of oranges in another box will be (x+40).

Also, total number of oranges are 160.

So, x+x+40 = 160

or 2x+40 = 160

or 2x = 160-40 = 120

or x = 120/2

or x = 60

So, number of oranges in first box is 60 and number of oranges in another box is 100.
