There are three coat colour in short horned cattle -Red,White and Roan colour. On crossing red and white cattle, roan colour is produced instead of pink in the phenotypic ratio of 1:2:1 and the genotypic ratio is also 1:2:1(which is a case of incomplete dominance) and yet they consider this phenomenon as co-dominance.Why is it so??

Because when the allele for red and white are inherit together a mixed type of phenotype that is roan voloured is obtained and thats what codominance is.
