There are three metallic solid cubes of volumes 125cm3, 64cm3 and 27 cm3. These cubes are recasted into one big solid cube. What will be the edge of the cube so formed in cm ?

|| ★★ FORMULA USED ★★ ||

→ Volume of cube is = (side)³

when Three cubes are melted to form a new cube, than volume of new cube is Sum of all three smaller cubes volumes..

|| ✰✰ ANSWER ✰✰ ||

we have given that, volume of three metallic solid cubes of volumes 125cm3, 64cm3 and 27 cm3 .

So,

Volume of New cubes so formed = 125 + 64 + 27 = 216cm³ .

Now, as told , volume is given by (side)³ .

So ,

(Edge of new cube)³ = 216

→ (Edge of new cube)³ = (6)³

Cube root both sides we get ,

Edge of new cube = 6cm.

Hence, Edge of new cube formed is 6cm.

Answer:

Here is the solution,

volume of recastedcube=[125 +64+127]

volume. cube = 216cm³

volume. cube = 216cm³

side³. = 216cm³

side. = ³216 cm³

side. = 6 cm

Hence,edge or side of cube formed 6cm
