total weight of rice = 531/6 + 128/3

= 531/6 + 256/6

= 787/6

total weight of rice sold = 5/7 of 787/6

= 5/7 × 787/6

= 3935/42

total weight of remaining rice = 787/6 - 3935/42

= 5509/42 - 3935/42

= 1574/42

= 787/21

ANSWER:-

  • Total weight is 787/6 kg.
  • Weight left behind is 787/21 kg.

GIVEN:-

⭆Weight of the first bag of rice = 531/6 kg

⭆Weight of the second bag of rice = 128/3

⭆Weight sold from total weight = 5/7

TO FIND:-

➙ Total Weight of the rice bags after selling 5/7 kg off the total weight = ?

STEPS TO SOLVE:-

➤ First, find the total weight of the Rice bags.

➤ Second, multiply the weight of the rice sold from the total weight of the rice bags.

➤ Third, Subtract the product from the total.

➤ Fourth, the answer which we will get after subtracting the weight of the rice sold from the total weight of the rice bags will be the weight left behind.

SOLVING STEP BY STEP:-

Total weight of the rice bags = \dfrac{513}{6}+\dfrac{128}{3}\:kg

\sf{Take\:LCM}

\sf{LCM=6}

\dfrac{531 + 256}{6}

\dfrac{531 + 256}{6}=\dfrac{787}{6}

Total weight of rice bags = 787/6 kg

Weight sold from total weight = 5/7 kg

Weight left = Total weight×Sold weight

\dfrac{787}{6}×\dfrac{5}{7}

\dfrac{787}{6}\times\dfrac{5}{7}=\dfrac{3935}{42}

Now Subtract the product from the total

\dfrac{787}{6}-\dfrac{3935}{42}

 \sf{Take \: LCM}

 \sf{LCM=42}

\sf\frac{5509 - 3935}{42}

 \sf\frac{5509 - 3935}{42}  =  \frac{1574}{42}

\frac{\not{1574}}{\not{42}}=\dfrac{787}{21}

So weight left behind is 787/21 kg.
