There are two classrooms A and B containing students. If 5 students from Room A are shifted to room B, the resulting numbers of students in the two rooms become equal. let the no. of students in room a be x

and room b be y

5 students shifted from x

x-5 and y+5

ATQ

room a = room b

x-5 = y+5

x-y = 5+5 =10

5 students shifted

room a = x -5+5

room b = y+5-5

room a = 2(room b)

x-5+5 = 2(y+5-5)

x-0 = 2(y-0)

x = 2y
