Given:

There are two cubes 4cm and 6cm .

To Find:

The ratio and find total surface areas.

Solution:

Length of edge if first cube =4cm.

So, TSA of cube = 6a².

where a is its side length.

= 6×(4cm)².

=6×16cm².

=96cm².

\rule{200}1

Length of side of second cube =6cm.

So,TSA

=6×(6cm)².

=6×36cm².

=216cm²

So, their ratio.

=\sf{\dfrac{TSA\:of\:first\:cube}{TSA\:of\:second\:cube}}

=\sf{\dfrac{96cm^{2}}{216cm^{2}}}

=\sf{\dfrac{4}{9}}

\red{\sf{\longmapsto 4:9}}

Answer:

Given,

two cubes of length a = 4cm and 6 cm. Then,

Step-by-step explanation:

T. S. A of a cube =6a²

Now,

TSA of cube of side 4 cm:

= 6×a²

= 6×4²=96

Now,

TSA of cube of side 6 cm :

= 6*6²=216

Ratio b/w T. S. A of two cubes:

{TSA Of 1st cube / TSA of 2nd cube}

= 96/216 = 4/9= 4:9{Ans}

Hope it's beneficial for you
