There are two groups of trainees, A and B. If 25 trainees will be sent from group A to group B, then the number in both the groups will be equal. On the other hand, if 25 trainees will be sent from group B to group A, the number in A will become double of that of B. What is the actual strength of group A?

Let us assume number of trainees in group A

and B are x and y respectively.

Now, As per the question,

x-25 = y+25

=> x -y = 50.........(i)

And,

2(y-25)= x+25

=> 2y -50 = x +25

=> 2y - x = 75 .......(ii)

By solving both the equations, we will get

y = 125 and x = 175.
