Given :

The length of two loaf cakes are 30 cm and 27 cm.

To find :

The size of equal slices that they can cut them and no loaf will remain.

Solution:

One loaf of cake is 30 cm long and the other one is 27 cm long.

They want to cut the cake equally and sell the slices that no cake will waste.

We will take HCF of the numbers 30 and 27.

Prime factors of 30 =  3 × 2 × 5

Prime factors of 27 = 3 × 3 × 3

HCF of 30 and 27 = 3

30 ÷ 3 = 10 slices

27 ÷ 3 = 9 slices

They should cut them into 3 cm slices.
