There are two numbers whose sum is 85.the greater number is 13 is more than the smaller.find the number ?

let the smaller number be 'x'
then the bigger number =X+13

as per the problem given ,

X+X+13=85
2x+13=85
2x=85-13
2x=72
X=72/2
X=36

therefore the smaller number =36,the bigger number =36+13=49

x = 72/ 2
x = 36
So one number is 36 and another is
