There are two observers in two different frames of reference. Each of them carries identical cricket bat held along the direction of their relative motion. Each one measures, other's bat is shorter. Explain the reason for such paradox.

Hi there,

well.... U seem to be on your way to learn the working of the universe....

(or) most probably studying relativity......

Relativity is a higher step of advanced science which is still being closely studied.....

From the start now......

Relativity : Deals with "relations".... of course.... b/w different frames of       referance.

right now.... when we talk about moving bodies.... u most probably have encountered relative velocity concepts.. and their working on a relativistic scale.....

in a similar way... there are other effects which are observed in various frames of referance.....

two such known and proven effects are

1) space time contraction

2) Length contraction....

the possible explaination for this question will be .... length contraction...

Whenever a body is set into motion...(i.e possesses velocity) there is an appriciable contraction in its length when viewed in different frames....

therefore.... both observers in different frames of reference feels due to the effects of length contraction ... the latter's bat is shorter..
