At any instant in time let x be the distance to a mirror.

x = v t    the distance to a mirror at time t

Then the first image is moving at speed 2 x / t = 2 v

The distance to the second image is 4 x   and 4 x / t = 4 v

And so on then  Vn = 2 n v for the speed of the n'th image
