the diagram (Fig 10.1) and the rest has grass on it. Find the area covered by grass.

We Have known that area of rectangle= l×b

Area of rectangular flower bed =(l×b)

=(30m×20m)

=600m²

1.5m×2m=3.0m

1.5m ×2m =3.0m

Area of two rectangular flower bed =3.0m +3.0m=6m.

  • Area covered by grass =600m²-6m²
  • Area covered by grass = 594m²
