The area covered by grass is 594 m².
The dimensions of the park:
Length, l = 20 m
Breadth, b = 30 m
∴ The area of the park = l * b = 20 * 30 = 600 m²
The dimension of each rectangular flower bed:
Length, l = 1.5 m
Breadth, b = 2 m
No. of flower beds in the park = 2
∴ The area covered by the 2 flower beds = 2 * [l*b] = 2 * [1.5 * 2] = 6 m²
It is also given that apart from the flower beds remaining portion of the park is covered by the grass.
Thus,
The remaining area of the park covered by the grass is given by,
= [area of the park] – [area of the 2 flower beds]
= 600 m² – 6 m²
= 594 m²
