Step-by-step explanation:

Total weight of (36 + 44) Students,

= (36 × 40 + 44 × 35) kg

= 2980 kg

Therefore the average weight of the whole class,

= 298080

 kg.

Therefore, average weight = 37.25 kg

Hope this helps.

SOLUTION

GIVEN

There are two sections A and B in a class, consisting of 25 and 32 students respectively.

The average weight of the Students of section A is 45 kg and that of section B is 43 kg,

TO DETERMINE

The average weight of the whole class.

EVALUATION

Here it is given that there are two sections A and B in a class, consisting of 25 and 32 students respectively

Total number of students in two sections

= 25 + 32

= 57

The average weight of the Students of section A is 45 kg

Total weight of the Students of section A

= ( 45 × 25 ) kg

= 1125 kg

The average weight of the Students of section B is 43 kg

Total weight of the Students of section A

= ( 43 × 32 ) kg

= 1376 kg

Total weight of the Students of section A and B

= 1125 + 1376 kg

= 2501 kg

Hence the required average weight

 \sf = \dfrac{2501}{57} \: \: kg

 \bf = 43.87 \: \: kg
