Answer:
- Its been noticed from the histories of many, now developed, countries that in initial stages of development , primary, sector was the most important sector of the economic sector.
- As the methods the farming changed, the agriculture sector began to prosper. Many people could now take up other activities.
- Soon, there was an increase in the crafts-person and traders.Buying and selling activities increased many times. Besides, there were also transporters, administrators, army etc.
- However, at this stage , most of the goods produced were natural products from the primary sector and most of the people were employed in this sector.
- Over next ten decades, and especially because new method of manufacturing were introduced, factories came up and started expanding.
- Those people who had earlier worked on farms now began to work in factories in large numbers, as they were forced to do so.Later, people began to use many more goods that were produced in the factories at cheaper rates.
- Secondary sector gradually became the most important in the total production and employment.
- In past few decades, there has been a further shift from the secondary to the tertiary sector in the developed countries. The service has become the most important in the terms of total production. Most people are also employed in the secondary sector.
- Hence, over time, a shift had taken place. This means that the importance of the sectors had changed
