Salt present in kitchen is \frac{15}{20} th of a kilogram, that is:

 \frac{15}{20} \times 1 \: kg \\ = \frac{15}{20} \times 1000 \: g \\ = \frac{15000}{20} \\ = 750 \: g

Mrs. Mehra used \frac{1}{24} th of 750 grams, that is:

 \frac{1}{24} \times 750g \\ = \frac{750}{24} \\ = \frac{125}{4} \\ = 31.25g

Hence, Mrs. Mehra used 31.25 grams.

Hope this helps.

Thanks.
