The perpendicular distance from x axis is 3 and perpendicular distance from y axis is 4.

Hey there,

Given point A≡(-4,3) is of the form (x,y).

In this case x is the distance from y-axis and is called abscissa and y id the distance from x-axis and is called ordinate.

So 4 is the distance from y-axis and 3 is the distance from x-axis.

NOTE:- In case of -4, negative sign just tell the direction and distance can never be negative.

So (-4,3) lie in the 2nd quadrant in rectangular axes of coordinate geometry.
