HI prathiksha !
probability of an event = favorable outcomes / total outcomes

Probability of getting a red candy = 50/350= 1/7

______________________________________________________________

probability of getting a purple candy = 50/350= 1/7

_____________________________________________________________

probability of getting a yellow candy = 100/350 = 2/7

_____________________________________________________________

probability of getting a blue candy =150/350= 3/7
______________________________________________________________
2) probability of getting a blue or red = 50 +150/350= 200/350= 4/7

Hai friend,

given
Quantities of eachcolour candy

1) red -50
2) purple -50
3) yellow -100
4) blue -150

TOTAL CANDIES =350

PROBABILITY OF GETTING A RED COLOURED CANDY =50/350=1/7

PROBABILITY OF GETTING A PURPLE COLOURED CANDY =50/350=1/7

PROBABILITY OF GETTING A YELLOW COLOURED CANDY=100/350=2/7

PROBABILITY OF GETTING A BLUE COLOURED CANDY=150/350=3/7

AND FINALLY
PROBABILITY OF GETTING EITHER BLUE OR RED

=200/350
=4/7

or 3/7+1/7=4/7

hope helped
