There is a container which contains 30 litres mixture of milk and water, containing 250 ml of water per
liter of mixture. How many liters of milk must be added to this mixture, to obtain a mixture with 75 ml of
water per liter of mixture?​

In the original mixture Milk = 21 liters and water is 9 liters In the new mixture the

ratio of milk and water is 3 : 7 Since milk contents remain the same in both the mixtures

 so 21 : x =  3 : 7  i.e. x = 49

Hence water to be added in mixtures = 49-9 = 40 litres
