The Meghalaya Plateau that is actually a spinoff from the Deccan Plateau features hard ancient rocks that are primarily quartzytes. On the other hand, the Deccan Plateau houses a lot of igneous rocks like metamorphic rocks and graphite that are more volcanic in nature.

The Meghalaya Plateau makes a sudden slope towards the south as it comes in close contact with the Sylhet Plain of Bangladesh. The whole Deccan plateau slopes from west to east.

The Meghalaya Plateau is quite high with Jayanti, Khasi, and Garo hills. The Deccan Plateau is flanked by the Satpura-Mahadev mountain ranges, Western Ghats, and the Ajanta mountain ranges.

Actually the Meghalaya Plateau is really a type of byproduct from the Deccan Plateau includes hard old shakes that are principally called as quartzytes. Then again, the Deccan Plateau houses a great deal of molten rocks like transformative rocks and graphite that have the volcanic nature in themselves. And The entire Deccan level starts from west and ends to east.

Also the Meghalaya plateau are very high so that they are with the khaso and ghari hills.
