Answer:

Division of labour is a unique phenomenon which is found in an organism as well as in the different parts of the cell consisting the organism. Even in unicellular organisms division of labour is found where different functions are performed by different parts of the cell. Division of labour as we know is the division of work means the different organs of the organisms are assigned a specific function to perform so that no organ gets over burdened by performing various tasks. And all these organs work in coordination to perform the different functions smoothly so that an organism can do its functions at its best.

Similarly even cells are so designed that different parts of the the cell perform different functions like nucleus controls the transmission of features, their expression and cell division which is indeed an important function. Mitochondria helps in cellular respiration, ribosomes helps in protein synthesis, endoplasmic reticulum provides more surface area for chemical activities, Golgi apparatus helps in production of glycoproteins from proteins and carbohydrate processing, lysosomes works for storage and as digestive vacuole, centrioles in animal cell helps in cell division, cell membrane helps in transport of substances across it.
