Given:

Distance of the fountain from the boundary of the park = 70 m.

Rate of fencing = ₹50 per m

To find:

The total cost of fencing the park

Solution:

The circumference of park = 2πr

where r is the distance of the fountain from the boundary of the park

Thus, substituting the value -

Circumference = 2 × 3.142 × 70

= 140 × 3.142

= 439.8

The circumference is 439.8 m

Thus, total cost = circumference of park × fencing price

= 439.8 × 50

=  21990

Answer: The total cost of fencing the park is Rs. 21,990
