There is a garden inside a 150 m long and 100m wide rectangular park . A 20m wide path is built surrounding the garden along the boundary of the park .Find the area of the garden.​

Answer:

Length of the rectangular park = 150m

Breadth of the rectangular park = 100m

Width of the path = 20m

Since the garden is inside the park.

Therefore,

Length of the garden = 150-(2×20)= 150-40 = 110m

Breadth of the garden = 100-(2×20) = 100-40 = 60m

Therefore area of the garden = length of the garden × breadth of the garden  

= 110×60

= 6600 square meters..
