There is a garden inside a 150m long and 100m wide rectangular park . A 20m wide path is built surrounding the garden along the boundary of the park . Find the area of the garden.​

Breadth of the rectangular park = 100m
Width of the path = 20m
Therefore, Length of the garden = 150 - (2 x 20)
                                                       = 150 - 40
                                                       = 110m

Breadth of the garden = 100 -(2 x 20)
                                     = 100 - 40
                                     = 60m
Area of the Garden  = l x b

                                  = 110 x 60

                                  = 6600m²
