Answer:

Let the width & length of Hall be n and 5n.

Area of the Rectangular Hall :

↠ Area = Length × Width

↠ 45 m² = 5n × n

↠ 45 m² = 5n²

  • Dividing both term by 5

↠ 9 m² = n²

↠ √(9 m²) = n

↠ √(3 m × 3m) = n

n = 3 m

_______________________

Dimensions of Hall :

⇴ Length = 5n = 5(3 m) = 15 m

⇴ Width = n = 3 m

Length and Width of Hall is 15 m & 3 m.

Answer:

★ Length = 15 m ★

★ Length = 15 m ★★ Breadth = 3 m ★

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

  • Length of hall is 5 times of the width
  • Area of the floor is 45m²

To Find:

  • Length and Width of the hall

Solution: Let the width of hall be x therefore the length of hall will be 5x

Area of Rectangle = Length x Breadth

\small\implies{\sf } 45m² = 5x (x)

\small\implies{\sf } 45m² = 5x²

\small\implies{\sf } 45/5 = 5x²/5 [ Divide both sides by 5 ]

\small\implies{\sf } 9m² =

\small\implies{\sf } 9m² = x

\small\implies{\sf } 3m = x

Hence, Length will be 5(x) = 5 x 3m = 15 m and Width will be x = 3m
