Flatters only know how to praise others lavishly and get their works done whereas a true friend is someone who stands beside you during your bad time , doesn't feel comfortable when you're in pain and shares the pain of your grief. As we've seen in the poem,- The spider and the fly ,the spider praises the fly's beauty to a great extent, so as to trap her in his den.
