Hey mate here is your answer......

In a pond ,a mass mortality of fish may occur due to following reasons .

➡️ Passage of pesticide rich water from crop fields.

➡️Release of toxic industrial waste

➡️ Pouring of hot water from an industrial waste.

➡️Release of waste rich in heavy metals and Mercury.

➡️Blockage of gills of fish by some suspended pollutant such as oil.

Conclusion: Humans shouldn't throw waste in water bodies , whether it is industrial or agricultural waste as it led water pollution due to which fishes and other aquatic animals die.
