There is a mixture of three solid compounds A, B and C. Out of these compounds A and C are soluble in water and compound C can sublimate as
well. In what sequence can the following separation techniques be used to get pure substance from the mixture?
i. Filtration
ii. Sublimation
iii. Crystallisation from water extract
iv. Dissolution in water

The remaining mixture of A and B can be put in water compound B is insoluble in water can be separated out by filtration.

Compound A can be recovered from filtrate by crystallisation.

Hence, the correct order is II, IV, I, III.
