There is a narrow rectangular plot,reserved for a school,in mahulivillage.the length and breadth are in ratio of 11.4 at the rate of rs 100 per metre it will cost the village panchayat rs 75000 to fence the plot. What are the dimensions of plot

let,
the length and breadth as 11x and 4x

Now we know that
fencing means perimeter
and
cost of fencing 1 meter = Rs 100
therefore,
perimeter of rectangular plot = Rs75000/Rs100
= 750
therefore,
perimeter of rectangular plot = 750 m

Now,again
perimeter of rectangle = 2 ( L+ B )
750 m = 2 ( 11x + 4x )
750 m = 2 × 15x
750 m / 2 = 15x
375 m = 15x
375 m / 15 = x
25 m = x
therefore,
length = 11x
= 11 × 25 m
= 275 m
and
breadth = 4x
= 4 × 25 m
= 100 m
