There is a narrow rectangular plot reserved for a school, in a city. The length & breadth of the plot are in the ratio 15:7.at the the rate of Rs. 100per metre it will cost Rs. 44000 to fence the plot. What are the dimensions of the plot

And let the breadth be 7x.

Now the perimeter of the plot= 2(l+b)

2(15x+7x)= 44x

Now, as per the question,

Cost of fencing the plot at Rs100 per meter=perimeter x 100= Rs44000

4400x = Rs44000

x = 44000/4400

= 10m

Length =15 x 10=150m

Breadth=7 x 10=70m
