There is a narrow rectangular plot reserved for a school, in a city. The length & breadth of the plot are in the ratio 15:7.at the the rate of Rs. 100per metre it will cost Rs. 44000 to fence the plot. What are the dimensions of the plot

thus, the area of a plot =total cost of fencing. ÷ rate of fencing.

=> 44000/100 =440m^2.

then, their dimension of plot =

length=15x and breadth=7x.

thus, the aera of plot =440m^2.

15x × 7x =440m^2.

105x^2 =440m^2.

x^2=440/105 =88/21=4.19m.

x=√4.19 =2.04m.

hence, length=15*2.04=30.6m.

and breadth=7*2.04=14.28m. proved....
