there is need for the development of non - conventional source of energy because fossils fuels are non - renewable resources and they take millions of years to form and reserves are being used faster than new ones are being made . thus there is need to explore other source of energy rather than finishing the existing ones

- The growing consumption of energy has resulted in the country becoming increasingly dependent upon fossil fuels such as coal ,oil and gas which are going on just limited quantities.

- Rising prices of oil and gas and their potential shortages gave raised uncertainties about the security of energy supply in future. Which in turn has serious repercussions on the growth of the national economy.


- Moreover increasing use of the conventional source of energy also cause many environmental as well as health problems

- Hence there is a pressing need for the development of the non -conventional sources of energy .
