There are many destructive pollutants released to the environment such as gases, oil wastes and even chemical wastes.  When these wastes get to the environment they may alter the normal life, cause acidic rains, increase CO2 in the air and many other things that can affect living things negatively. Deforestation also destroys many animals and plants’ habitats and leads to their extinction.

To protect the future generations

If we destroy the environment today, where will our sons and daughters live tomorrow? If we destroy forests, in future we may not have water catchment areas meaning the water will be a scarce resource.  On top of that, rain will be an issue and that will affect vegetation and all living things in the planet. Therefore, protecting the environment will prevent climate change and that is a good thing to the future generation.

To make the world a better place to live in

When you take care of the environment, you will be preventing destruction of ecosystems. You can do this by planting trees and taking care of forests. This ensures that the world has good climate for all of us. On top of that, when you preserve water bodies, fish and other animal living in the water bodies will live well. By taking protecting the environment, food, water, shelter and everything you require will be available.

How can you protect the environment?

You can protect the environment is many ways. One of the ways is to avoid pollution. You should dispose all waste materials in the right way. On top of that, you should plant trees and increase forest cover. Trees are highly essential as they provide raw material, home to many animals and play a role rain making. Also, avoid activities such as deforestation, charcoal burning, overgrazing, over-fishing and many others to protect the environment.

Climate is changing now and then due to environmental damage. Extinction of some animals and plants’ species is inevitable due to the damage of ecosystems. You need to protect the environment more than ever to prevent further damage. Therefore, protect the environment and you will make the world a better place for you and the future generation.
