There are infinite such numbers. I’ll give you one: let  x=2–√4 . Then  x2=22−−√4=4–√4=2–√ , which is an irrational number, and  x4=24−−√4=2 , which is rational .

\sqrt{2}= irrational number

\sqrt{4} = 2^{2}= 2 = Rational number
