East Godavari is a district in the Coastal Andhra region of Andhra Pradesh, India. Its district headquarters is at Kakinada. As of Census 2011, it became the most populous district of the state with a population of 5,151,549. Rajahmundry and Kakinada are the major cities in the district in terms of population.

2. But a paper mill is located in Rajamundry because it's very near to forest area that is Maredumalli.
3. Paper factories require large and continuous supply of raw material (wood).
4. They use wood from bamboo, Eucalyptus and Sababul trees.
5. That's the reason why a paper mill is located at Rajamundry in East Godavari district but not in headquarters of Kakinada.
