Area of pentagon =2×1/2××(sum of parallel sides)×(Distance between them)

Area of pentagon =2×1/2×(15+30)×215=337.5 sq. metre

⇒Kavita′s way

Area of pentagon=Area of triangle + Area of rectangle

Area of pentagon =(1/2×15×15)+(15×15)=337.5 sq. metre
