area of rectangular field=8×5
=40m^2.
Now a 1m wide park has been erected outside the rectangular field .
So new length of rectangular field =8+1=9m.
and the breadth will remain the same.
So area of new rectangular field = 9×5
=45m^2.
So area of the park = area of new rectangular field - area of rectangular field
area of park=45-40
=5m^2.
