Length = 16m

Breadth = 7m

Side = 2m

Area of rectangular ground = l x b

= (16 x 7)m^2

= 112 m^2

Area of Pits to be digged = (Side)^2

= (2) x (2)

= 4m^2

Remaining area = Area of ground - area of pits to be digged

i.e (112-4) m^2

i.e 108m^2

Answer:

92 m² is the correct answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

⇒ Area of Rectangular Ground = 16 m × 7 m

                                                    = 112 m²

⇒ Area of 1 Pit = 2 m × 2 m

                        = 4 m²

∴ Area of 5 Pits = 5 × 4 m²

                          = 20 m²

∴ Remaining Area = 112 m² - 20 m²

                              = 92 m²                ←ANSWER
