area of rect.lawn is 10×4=40sq.m
now the lawn is fenced with the gap of 1m
so length =10-(1+1)= 8 m
breadth is =4-(1+1)=2m
area is 8×2=16 sqm
now the lawn is fenced with the gap of 1m
so length =10-(1+1)= 8 m
breadth is =4-(1+1)=2m
area is 8×2=16 sqm

Now, when the lawn is fenced with that of the gap of 1 m
The length will be equal to 10-(1+1) = 8 m
