Given that,

  • Dimensions of the rectangular Park = 30m×24m.
  • Width of the track = 4m
  • Area of the track = ?

Let's find the area of the Outer rectangle =

  • Length = 30m
  • Breadth = 24m

⇒ Area of the rectangle = l×b = 30m×24m = 720 m².

∴ Area of the Outer Rectangle is 720cm².

Let's find the Area of the inner rectangle =

  • Length = 30m-(4m+4m) = 30m-8m = 22m
  • Breadth = 24m-(4m+4m) = 24m-8m = 16m.

⇒ Area of the Inner Rectangle = l×b = 22m×16m = 352m².

∴ The area of inner Rectangle is 352 cm².

⇒ Area of the track = Area of Outer Rectangle - Area of Inner Rectangle

⇒ Area of the track = 720m² - 352m²

⇒ Area of the track = 368m².

∴ Area of the track is 368m².
