There is a square plot of side 35m. A path of width
1.5 m is constructed in the middle of the plot such
that it is parallel to one of its sides. Find the area
of the plot other then the path. (in m2).

Step-by-step explanation:

You can do this by finding the area of the square and subtracting the area of the path which is a rectangle from the area of the square

Length of side of square=35m

Area of square = 35*35

= 1225 Sq.m

Length of path=35m

Breadth of path=1.5m

Area of path= (l*b)

=35*1.5

=52.5 sq.m

Therefore area of the plot other than the path = 1225-52.5 Sq.m=1172.5 sq.m

I think this is the ans
