Insolation is maximum at the equator and decreases as we go towards the poles. That is the reason why Equatorial regions are hot. The angle made by Sun rays is almost constant throughout the year near these regions. So the region witnesses a fairly uniform temperature throughout the year.

So the region witnesses a fairly uniform temperature throughout the year. The temperature rarely falls down below 18 deg. C. There are no seasons in equatorial climate. Temperature is high due to sun which is directly above the area.
