There is almost 30 degree longitudinal & latitudnal difference between East -west and north south extent but why there is almost 381 km difference between .East -west extent~

For understanding this you need little a knowledge about Geometry. You would know that a Perpendicular line gives us a better knowledge about height. The same applies for this case the if the Longitudinal Extent been drawn till Equator and Latitudinal Extent till Prime Meridian "Longitudinal Extent of India to the Equator" is more close to perpendicular than the "Latitudinal Extent of India to the Prime Meridian". So the Longitudinal extent gives us more accurate answer of the distance while the Latitudinal Extent measures even small distances as large due to it.
