While climbing three inches it takes one min...n then it fall 2 inches down..in all we can say that he climbed 1 inch bcoz he falls 2inches down from 3 inches...n after falling down it takes 1 min rest means he takes two mins to climb 1 inch...so to climb 35 inches it will be 35×2=70
