there is declination in share of agricultural sector in GDP. it is the matter of serious concern.
support your argument on the basis of this statement.

a. The share agrarian sector is on a decline, as per the data available, it has been found out that agriculture's contribution to in 1950-51 was 51.9% and has declined to13.7 % in 2012-13 .

b. The main reason for its declining share , has been the increased and growing importance of the manufacturing and service sector , which has grown exponentially over the years.

c. Apart from that,Still in India,there are large number of farmers who are either small or landless and have meagre incomes.

d. There has been reduction of public investment in the agricultural sector like irrigation, rural infrastructure.

e. Our farmers are also facing tough competition from the international markets and have failed to diversify their cropping pattern.

f. There also has been a decline in the subsidies provided to farmers.

g. Agricultural sector still continues to be affected by disguised unemployment,where more people are employed than actually required with no significant change in the production.

h. Reduction in import duties in the agrarian sector also impacts the agrarian sector.

i. Most of the farmers have small land holdings, thereby not making any significant contribution to the production.

j. Lack of effective implementation of government policies and schemes have impacted the sector.
